Early (Phase 1) Orthodontic Treatment in West Hills

Early orthodontic treatment in West Hills, also called Phase 1 or interceptive treatment, is care given while a child still has a mix of baby and adult teeth. It is not right for every child, but when it helps, it can guide jaw growth, create room for incoming teeth, and make any later treatment shorter and simpler.

Does my child need it?

Many children do not need Phase 1 treatment, and we will always tell you honestly. The American Association of Orthodontists recommends a first check-up by around age 7, which lets us monitor growth and act only if and when it truly benefits your child.

What a Phase 1 plan looks like
